The final fully lit Waterfire of 2009. Providence, Rhode Island, 10 October 2009.

I made “SACRED HONOR” as a tribute to the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces, and as a memorial to the brave, fallen soldiers from Connecticut who had died in Afghanistan and Iraq as of April 2007. I shot all the photos and video in Washington, DC, in the spring of 2007.

I produced and narrated this slideshow of photos taken during Washington, DC Episcopal Bishop John Chane’s 2006 visit to southern Africa. It highlights some of the life-giving projects the Episcopal Diocese of Washington supports that provide care and support to people living with HIV-AIDS and contending against the harsh challenges of poverty.

Call this my love song for San Francisco. I was deeply moved by the many ways in which new life is bursting forth--in flowers, in the parks, in the drumming and dancing, in the sparkling air--after too many years of AIDS loss and sorrow.
